Our Easter Holiday Course drew to an emotional close on Saturday as our students returned to Buckswood School and us staff returned to our "normal" lives. The course really was amazing. It was so nice to be part of a huge bubble and enjoy life as if there was no pandemic outside the walls of our household!
The beginning of week 3 of our course saw all shops, restaurants and pubs reopen here in England so having spent the best part of a year cooped up in lockdown, we took our students on a few trips last week, visiting Brighton, Eastbourne and Hastings. We even took them to the pub on Friday night for a nice meal!
Onsite, we enjoyed numerous activities including the BOSS Film Festival, the BOSS Grand Prix, the BOSS Olympics, karaoke, dodgeball and we closed the course with a great graduation party on Saturday night.
We're not exactly sure why but photographs from the final week of our Easter Holiday Course are few and far between but of course we do have some which you can enjoy below. There are also a few random ones from weeks 1 and 2 in there which some how missed the boat when we were previously uploading.

As previously mentioned, we are very lucky and happy to have inherited a bubble of students who have been living together since at least January 4th from the mothership that is Buckswood School. Neil, BOSS Director and Sarah, who has just about done every job there is to do at BOSS over the last 8 years, were taking COVID tests every three days for 2 weeks in the build up to course and were able to be integrated into this bubble and since we will have the same students and staff for the whole duration of the course, the course is about as normal as it can be during these current times. Staff and all students are being tested twice a week on Sundays and Wednesdays and we are following COVID protocols relevant to our situation.
