Masho came to Buckswood Overseas Summer School (BOSS) in 2019 when she was just 9 years old as well as also attending our free BOSS Online course everyday for 3 months in 2020!
We say at BOSS that it doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from or how old you are, as once you pass through the BOSS gates, we are all one and the same. Of course we have different roles within BOSS, i.e. staff/student (with the responsibility and duty of care laying in the hands of our team of staff) but ultimately, we are all living in the same environment, participating in the same fun classes, activities and excursions and eating at the same tables, etc. But like I said, at the end of the day, we are all one and the same.
Masho is a prime example of how this works. As a 9 year old at BOSS and again as a 10 year old at BOSS Online, we shared a lot of interesting conversations. Conversations about music - Queen and The Beatles, about food and about saving the planet through living more eco-friendly lifestyles to name but a few. Masho also had excellent relationships with many friends of all nationalities and ages and has a very caring side as she was, in her words, “like a mother” to her roommate.
