From time-to-time, we welcome adults to Buckswood Overseas Summer School (BOSS). These adults are known as “Group Leaders” and their main purpose is to help and supervise students on their journey to BOSS and on their journey home. While they are at BOSS, they can relax and we will do the rest.
We have always had excellent relationships with Group Leaders who have attended BOSS, and over the years we have received some wonderful feedback from them for which we are extremely grateful. While all Group Leaders are thoroughly vetted for suitability to work in a school environment, and undergo an in-depth induction with Summer School Director Neil, they are not BOSS employees so are able to provide independent, non-biased reviews and feedback about their experiences at BOSS, so in this this three part blog series, we thought that it would be nice to share some of that feedback with you.
In part one of our Through the Eyes of a Group Leader blog series, we are graced with the beautiful words of a Group Leader, and now friend, from Turkey who spent three weeks with her students at BOSS:
“It was just a honeymoon for me while staying at BOSS. I can't find any words to express my deepest feelings. Thank you so much for accepting me as one of your staff and for all being gorgeous and unique. All staff members from top to toe were excellent. From the kitchen staff to the cooks to the cleaning lady. They are all chosen very carefully. Please give my regards to all of them. I established a great friendship with every one of you and my family has become very rich at the moment and I feel that I am one of the BOSS lovers.
As I mentioned before, I have been in this business for a very long time and this is the best summer school I have ever been to including the USA with the teaching and also activities very carefully thought.
In brief, I loved everything at BOSS and so did my students. They loved everything there. On the way home, they all cried and became extremely upset. I said, "Don't worry, we will come again next year."
