New Courses by Buckswood Overseas Summer School (BOSS)

Updated: May 10, 2021

To keep up with the ever changing needs and demands that summer camps are facing in 2021, we are happy to introduce six new courses adding more choice and diversity to our already popular offering of courses.

In addition to our Spring Course, Easter School Holiday Course and Summer School, we are excited to offer these four new courses and hope that they will help to welcome British kids and kids who are already in the UK to BOSS in summer. Of course, our courses are still open to kids and teens from all over the world but we hope that by including courses that do not solely focus on the English language, and instead sports, our summer school can become more diverse than it already is, and that we can welcome a new nationality to BOSS - British!

Yes, we have had some British students in the past, but we want more! Being British ourselves, we know that summer camps and summer schools are not part of British culture as they are in the USA and across the world and this is something that we want to change. We know, and those who have been to summer school know how important summer schools in helping to develop confidence, independence, broadening minds, and a lot, lot more so come one, come all!

In the mornings, students will spend 15 hours at their chosen camp before coming together in the afternoons and evenings to take part in our activity and excursion programme. Students of all courses will also live together, eat together and socialise together so we will retain the most important aspect of the BOSS course - community.

We are delighted to introduce our new courses and hope that they will contribute to helping Buckswood Overseas Summer School (BOSS) become better than ever. All of our new courses will take place in the heart of the East Sussex countryside on our stunning campus in Guestling, near Hastings and include:

Horse Riding Summer Camp

For British and international kids aged 8 to 17, our horse riding summer camp is a residential course focussed on improving riding, horse care skills and trying out lots of different equestrian sports and activities.
