The Buckswood Campus

Set deep in the English countryside, the Buckswood campus is a truly unique setting for an international summer school. Surrounded by rolling fields, ancient woodlands, and the unspoiled landscapes of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, our campus offers peace, safety, and space to grow. It is quite literally in the middle of nowhere – far enough from towns and cities to avoid distraction, yet close enough for easy access during our excursions.

A Place Steeped in History

The Buckswood Estate has strong historical ties to the Ashburnham family, one of the most influential landowning families in Sussex. The Ashburnhams lived at Broomham Hall (the main building on our campus) for over 500 years and their legacy can still be felt across the region and forms part of the rich heritage that makes Buckswood such a distinctive place to study. Students don’t just learn English here – they live and learn within an environment shaped by centuries of English history.

The air is fresh, the views are green in every direction, and the atmosphere is one of calm and focus.
