More Than an English
Summer School
BOSS is a residential summer school on Buckswood School's 42-acre campus at Broomham Hall in East Sussex. Students aged 8 to 17 take fifteen hours of English and five hours of leadership training each week, sit the Trinity College London spoken English exam here on campus, and work towards the Leadership Skills Foundation Young Leader Award. Around all of that sits a full afternoon and evening programme, two full-day and two half-day excursions every week, and a house system that turns a group of strangers into a family in about four days.

Why Parents Trust BOSS
Every student is accounted for from wake-up to lights out, with ten registration points through the day. All staff complete safeguarding training before every single course and most are First Aid trained. Each house has its own House Tutor living on site, with a Duty Manager reachable overnight on our emergency line. Supervision runs at roughly one adult to every eight students on campus, one to twelve on excursions for ages 8 to 12, and classes never exceed sixteen. The local health centre and A&E are fifteen minutes away.
