The Buckswood Overseas Summer School (BOSS) Spring Course, held from the 26th of March to the 15th of April, was an extraordinary success, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of over 150 individual students from various countries around the world. From the scenic countryside setting to the diverse group of participants, this immersive educational experience exceeded all expectations. With students hailing from countries such as Thailand, Mexico, Germany, and beyond, BOSS fostered a truly international community where cultural exchange and global connections thrived. Through a meticulously crafted curriculum, engaging activities, and interactive workshops, students experienced tremendous growth in their language skills, academic prowess, and personal development. The Spring Course at BOSS was truly a life-changing adventure, equipping students with the tools they need to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.

Happy group of students

Our Spring Course offers a multitude of benefits that enhance the overall learning experience and create lasting memories for our students. This carefully curated programme goes beyond the classroom, providing opportunities for personal growth, cultural exploration, and skill development. Engaging lessons and activities ranging from broadening workshops about equality to the messy colour war not only promotes physical fitness but also fosters teamwork, resilience, and problem-solving abilities. Cultural excursions to historic landmarks, museums, and local communities immerse students in the rich heritage of the host country, fostering cross-cultural understanding and appreciation. Additionally, these experiences encourage students to step out of their comfort zones, develop confidence, and broaden their horizons.

Our programme at BOSS is an integral part of our courses' holistic approach to education, ensuring that students not only excel academically but also gain valuable life skills and create cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

Drumroll, please!

We ask our students to complete initial and end-of-course feedbacks during their time with us and we are thrilled to announce that our students' favourite activity and excursion during our Spring Course.

Favourite excursion...

We took our students all over London, to Brighton and beyond but their favourite excursion was a trip to discover the charm and historical significance of Lewes, where they explored its picturesque streets, visited its quaint shops, and soaked in the rich cultural heritage of this enchanting town. The excursion was of course topped off with a visit to Lewes Castle and to the world famous Dripping Pan, home to Lewes FC, the first and only football club in the world to pay its male and female players equally.

The project of the week leading up to the Lewes excursion was women's football, equality and Lewes FC and our students had the opportunity to win a VIP match day experience and to be mascots.
