Summer School Starts in One Month — And Right Now, That Matters More Than Ever

One month from today, the gates open, the coaches arrive, and students from across the world will walk onto our East Sussex campus and begin something they'll carry with them for the rest of their lives.

We know that for many families this year, making that decision has felt harder than usual. The world outside feels uncertain. There are conflicts, tensions, economic pressures, and a general sense of anxiety that many of us are navigating day-to-day. That weight is real, and we understand it completely.

But here's what we also know. Sometimes, the most valuable thing you can do for your child right now is give them somewhere completely different to be.

A Quiet Corner of England, Far From the Noise

Nestled in the countryside of East Sussex, BOSS is exactly that. A place apart. Rolling hills, fresh air, a safe and structured community, and a team of dedicated staff who are here solely to look after your child, help them grow, and make sure they feel at home from the moment they arrive.

There are no news alerts at dinner. No scrolling. Just students from over 30 countries living, learning, and laughing together. Discovering that the world, when you step into it with curiosity, is actually a very good place.

We provide 24-hour care throughout our programme. Our leadership team, safeguarding team, teachers, house tutors, and welfare staff are always present. Every student is known by name. That isn't a promise we make lightly, it's how we've operated for years, and it's what parents come back and tell us made the difference.

What Your Child Will Actually Do Here

Learn English. Properly.

Every student takes part in 20 hours of structured classes each week, taught by our caring team of passionate, enthusiastic and experienced teachers. But learning at BOSS doesn't stop when the classroom door closes. Every activity, every excursion, every conversation over lunch is another opportunity to practise and grow.

For students staying two weeks or more, there's something genuinely exciting this summer. Every student will sit the Trinity College London Graded Examination in Spoken English (GESE), a globally recognised qualification that they leave with in hand (if they pass!). This spring, our students achieved a 100% pass rate. It is a qualification with real weight, and something your child will be proud of.

Lead — Not Just Follow

New for 2026, every student staying a minimum of two weeks will also work towards the Leadership Skills Foundation Young Leader Award, a structured programme that develops communication, teamwork, decision-making, and self-confidence. This isn't a certificate for turning up. Students earn it through genuine engagement, and the skills they develop are exactly what universities and employers look for.

Get Out and Explore

Our excursion programme takes students to some of Britain's most iconic destinations. Leeds Castle, the Harry Potter Studios at Warner Bros., Brighton, London, and more. These aren't just days out. They're part of how we teach students to be curious, independent, and engaged with the world around them.

Back on campus, afternoons and evenings are filled with sports, creative activities, house competitions, themed evenings, and the kind of spontaneous fun that only happens when you bring together hundreds of young people who are all trying to make the most of every moment.

Places Are Going — Genuinely

We want to be straightforward with you, summer 2026 has been a slower booking year than usual. We understand why. But it also means there are still places available in July and August, but that won't be the case for much longer. Our peak weeks in mid-July are filling fast, and once they're gone, they're gone.

If you have been sitting on this decision, now really is the time. Not because of a countdown or a sale, but because the longer you wait, the fewer choices you'll have, and the harder it becomes to plan flights, transfers, and everything else that goes with it.

Summer starts in one month. Your child could be on that coach on 28th June.
