We know what you are thinking.

You have looked at the website. You have watched the videos. You like what you see. But something is stopping you from pressing the button and booking.

Maybe it is this question: will my child be okay?

It is a completely normal thing to feel. Sending your child to another country, to a school they have never visited, with people they have never met, is a big decision. Of course you are nervous. That means you are a good parent.

So let us tell you exactly what happens on your child's first day at BOSS. Because once you can picture it clearly, we think that feeling will go away.

Three smiling girls with face paint stand on a grassy field, wearing hoodies and a black shirt at an outdoor gathering.

Arrival

Your child arrives at BOSS by transfer coach or private car. As soon as they arrive, a member of our team is there to welcome them. Not a sign with their name on it. A real person, smiling, who is happy to see them.

They are taken to registration, shown around the campus, and given everything they need. They find out which house they are in. They meet their house tutor, who will look after them every day during their stay.

From the very first moment, they are not alone.

Four teens chat in a cozy wood-beamed room; one wears a STAFF jacket, with purple lighting and flags in the background.

Settling In

Their room is ready. They unpack. They start to look around.

Our campus is in the High Weald in East Sussex, one of the most beautiful areas of natural beauty in England. There are green fields, open spaces and fresh air. It does not feel like an institution. It feels like a home.

Soon, they meet the other students in their house. Some are nervous too. Some have been to BOSS before and are excited to be back. Some speak the same language as your child. Some do not. But very quickly, something happens that happens every single summer at BOSS: they start to talk.

A smile needs no translation. Neither does a laugh.

The First Evening

The first evening at BOSS is designed specifically to help new students feel comfortable.

There is a welcome dinner together. There are activities that help students meet each other in a natural way. No one has to stand up and introduce themselves in front of everyone. It just happens organically, through games, through food, through being in the same place at the same time.

By bedtime on the first night, most students have already made a friend.

The First Week

The first week at BOSS is when the magic really starts.

English lessons begin. Classes are small, international and taught by experienced, caring teachers. Students quickly discover that their English is better than they thought, and that improving it feels good.

Afternoons bring sports, clubs and creative activities. Students find the things they enjoy. They collect house points. They start to feel part of something.

And then there are the excursions. Getting out of campus and exploring England together is one of the most powerful things that happens at BOSS. Shared experiences create friendships very fast. See the full summer activity and excursion programme here.

By the end of the first week, most students do not want to leave.

Boys cheer with raised fists on a grassy field at sunset, smiling under a blue sky; one shirt reads Qatar Airways.

What Our Students Say

Do not take our word for it. Watch Rayan's video. Rayan came to BOSS from Saudi Arabia and talks honestly about what it felt like to arrive, to settle in, and to leave.

We also asked our students: what would you tell someone who is thinking about coming to BOSS? Watch their answers here. These are real students, speaking honestly. We think their words will help you decide.

Less Than Two Weeks to Go

Summer 2026 opens on 28th June. That is two weeks away.

If you book this week, there is still time to organise flights, transfers and everything your child needs to bring. If you wait much longer, it becomes much harder, and the best places will be gone.

Your child deserves this summer. And after reading this, we hope you can picture it a little more clearly.

They will arrive nervous. They will leave changed. That is what BOSS does, every single year.

Or message us directly. We are here, we answer quickly, and we are happy to answer any question you have, however small.
